Explain :
The main chain of SI is composed of silicon and oxygen atoms (-si-o-si). There are usually two organic groups on the silicon atom. The organic groups are generally methyl, vinyl, benzene ring and so on. According to the different groups, the properties of SI are different. Some special formulations can make it have excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance and atmospheric aging resistance, but its tensile strength is worse than that of ordinary rubber and it has no oil resistance. Generally used temperature range: - 40 C - 200 C.
Chemical Structure :
Advantage :
1. Tensile strength can reach 1500 PSI and resistance can reach 88 LBS.
2. Good elasticity and good compression deformation.
3. It has good resistance to neutral solvents.
4. Excellent heat resistance.
5. It has excellent cold resistance.
6. Excellent resistance to ozone and oxide erosion.
Disadvantages :
It is not recommended to be used in most thickly condensed solvents, oils, thickly condensed acids and diluted sodium hydroxide.
Purpose :
1. Seals or rubber parts used in household appliances industry, such as electric kettles, electric irons and rubber parts in microfluidic furnaces.
2. Seals or rubber parts in the electronic industry, such as mobile phone keys, shock absorber pads in DVD, seals in cable joints, etc.
3. Seals in various articles in contact with human body, such as kettles, water dispensers, etc.a
