Explain :
NBR is a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. The content of acrylonitrile is 18%-50%. The higher the content of acrylonitrile, the better the resistance of NBR to hydrocarbon fuel oil of petrochemical oil. However, its cold resistance is worse. NBR can be used in air at 120 C or oil at 150 C for a long time. Nitrile butadiene rubber is one of the most commonly used rubber materials for oil seals and O-rings. Generally used temperature range: 25 C - 100 C.
Chemical Structure :
Advantage :
1. It has good properties of oil resistance, water resistance, solvent resistance and high pressure oil resistance.
2. It has good compression deformation, wear resistance and elongation.
Disadvantages :
Not suitable for polar solvents, such as ketones, ozone, nitrohydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform.
Purpose :
Rubber parts, especially sealing parts, used in fuel tank, Lubricating Tank and fluid media such as petroleum hydraulic oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil, diester lubricating oil and glycol hydraulic oil.It is the most widely used and lowest cost rubber seal at present.
