Explain :
Neoprene Rubber is synthesized by the polymerization of chloroprene monomers. The vulcanized rubber has good elasticity and abrasion resistance, is not afraid of direct sunlight exposure, has excellent atmospheric aging resistance, is not afraid of intense distortion, is not afraid of refrigerants such as dichloromethane and ammonia, and is resistant to dilute acid and silicone ester lubricants, but is not resistant to phosphate-based hydraulic oils. It is easy to crystallize and harden at low temperatures, and has poor storage stability. Expansion is high in mineral oil with low aniline point. Generally used temperature range: 50 C - 150 C.
Chemical Structure :
Advantage :
1. Good elasticity and good compression deformation.
2. The formula contains no sulphur, so it is very easy to make.
3. It has anti-animal and vegetable oil properties and will not be affected by neutral chemicals such as fats, oils and various oil solvents.
4. Fire-proof property
Disadvantages :
It is not recommended for use in strong acids, nitrohydrocarbons, esters, chloroform and ketones.
Purpose :
1. It is used for sealing parts resistant to R12 refrigerant.
2. Rubber parts or seals on household appliances.
3. Suitable for making all kinds of parts which are directly in contact with the atmosphere, sunlight and ozone.
4. Suitable for all kinds of fire-resistant and chemical-resistant rubber products.
