Natural Rubber (NR)

Explain :

NR is a polymer of cis-1,4-isoprene, which is made from latex collected from rubber trees. Among its components, 91%-94% are isoprene, and the rest are non-rubber substances such as protein, fatty acid, ash and sugar. Its molecule contains many double bonds, so its breaking strength is very high, it has high elasticity and wear resistance, but it is easy to aging in the air and not resistant to strong acid. Generally used temperature range: 20 C - 100 C.

Advantage :

It has good wear resistance, high elasticity, breaking strength and elongation.

Disadvantages :

It is easy to ageing in air-oxygen, viscous in heat, easy to expand and dissolve in mineral oil or gasoline, alkali-resistant but not strong acid-resistant.

Purpose :

1. It is the raw material for making rubber belts, hoses and shoes, and is suitable for making shock absorber parts and products used in hydrogen-containing liquids such as automobile brake oil and ethanol.
