Explain :
Fluorine rubber refers to the rubber containing fluorine atoms on the carbon atoms of the main or side chains. It has various types according to the fluorine content (i.e. monomer structure). Its high temperature resistance is better than that of silicone rubber. It has excellent aging resistance, resistance to most oils and solvents (except ketones and esters), weatherability and ozone resistance. Its cold resistance is poor. Generally, the temperature range is 25 C - 250 C, and the special formulation can withstand low temperature to - 40 C.
Chemical Structure :
Advantage :
1. Resistant to heat up to 250 degrees C.
2. Resistance to most oils and solvents, especially acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and animal and vegetable oils.
Disadvantages :
It is not recommended for ketones, esters with low molecular weight and mixtures containing nitrate.
Purpose :
1. Automobile, motorcycle, diesel engine and fuel system.
2. Seals in chemical plants.
