Explain :
IIR is synthesized by polymerization of isobutylene with a small amount of isoprene, and retains a small amount of unsaturated groups for sulfur addition. Because of the steric hindrance effect of methyl, the molecular movement is less than that of other polymers, so its air tightness and water tightness are excellent, and its air permeability is only 1/7 of natural rubber. At the same time, it has strong resistance to heat, sunlight and ozone, good electrical insulation, and strong resistance to polar solvents such as alcohol, ketone, ester, etc. It is generally used in the temperature range of - 50 C - 110 C.

Disadvantages :
It is not recommended to use it in conjunction with petroleum solvents, gum oil and aromatic hydrogen.
